THE CHANGEMAKERS: 2016-2017
UNDER CONSTRUCTION - MORE INFO COMING SOON!
I’m Katie and I’m a sophomore at Santa Cruz High School. I enjoy being in the company of kind people (S2C friends!!) creating and consuming art and being with Ollie, a soft boy, my gorgeous golden retriever. I’m desperately trying to revive early 2000s emo culture and I would literally die instead of putting function before fashion. I joined S2C in order to have an opportunity to discuss political and social issues with others who care and seek to improve our community.
I’m Noah! I’m a sophomore at PCS and this is my first time at S2C program. I like all forms of art, from music to visual arts to poetry and creative writing. You can find me downtown! I’ll usually be hanging out in the lower levels of Logos with the cheapest tea I could find in my hand. I joined S2C to make a change in our community and connect with other like-minded people. Thanks!
I’m Max and I’m a sophomore at Kirby school. I love drawing, watching cartoons and playing the ukulele (not well, but I’m getting better!). I love Santa Cruz, and as I have grown up, downtown has become more and more of a meaningful place to me. I discovered S2C through a few friends who were previously in the program and am happy to have found a group of other artists and activists in the community. I’m also happy to be making new connections. I am hoping to be even more involved with the museum after this year, and with the community.
S2C LEADERSHIP TEAM
A Cabrillo college student, fashion enthusiast, bunny parent and vegan pastry recipe experimenter. I want to create artistic spaces that are accessible and safe for everyone. I strongly value representation and know how powerful it is to have role models you can identify with. I like puppies and washing the dishes with the radio turned up really loud. I spend most of my time sewing, putting glitter on everything and explaining away the gender binary.
Hi, I’m Vincent! I’m a junior at Delta High School. I’m glad that I get to be a part of S2C because I believe that social change and sharing art are very important. I play the ukulele and I love doing theatre. Dogs, activism, and strong queer friendships are very important to me. I hope to continue finding ways to share art and the world with other people!
I’m a sophomore at Pacific Collegiate School. I love creating things, listening to some good tunes, the ocean, and really large cups of chai. I joined the S2C Leadership team to connect with more passionate people my age, to try to make some kinda difference in the community by working on issues that I’m passionate about, and to make art all at the same time.
